Visiting the status page

When you visit the page, our server automatically stores your IP address, date and time, the page requested, the amount of data transferred and the type and version of your browser. This serves the secure and stable operation of the service, for example to detect and fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted after 14 days.

The status page does not use any analytics or advertising services and does not load content from other providers.

If you choose a language at the bottom of the page (Deutsch or English), we store this choice in your browser, as a cookie named “sprache” and in the browser’s local storage, so that the pages appear in that language. Only the language is stored, for one year. This is strictly necessary for the function you explicitly requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). The status page sets no other cookies.

Contact form

If you write to us using the contact form, we process your name, email address, subject and message in order to answer your request. This creates a ticket in our support system, which also runs on our own servers. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request concerns or prepares a contract with us, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering it under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We keep the information until your request has been dealt with and beyond that only as far as statutory retention obligations require. To prevent abuse, we briefly count in memory how many messages come from an IP address; the address is not stored for this purpose.

Email notifications

If you subscribe to notifications, we store your email address, the language of the emails and the time of your subscription and confirmation. You are only subscribed once you click the link in our confirmation email. Unconfirmed subscriptions are deleted after 48 hours. We send you emails about incidents, their resolution, announcements and scheduled maintenance, and nothing else.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email; your address will then be deleted immediately.

Where your data is processed

The status page, support system and mail server run on our own servers in the data centre of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, with whom we have concluded a data processing agreement. We do not pass your data on to third parties and do not transfer it to countries outside the European Union.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Please contact the address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
